Dental bonding is one of the most conservative dental procedures that can acquire an aesthetically pleasing result. Bonding is a special resin composite material that is adhered, or "bonded," to your natural teeth and blends in with your enamel.

Dr. Hoang artistically applies the bonding to your teeth one layer at a time, cosmetically correcting stained, gapped, chipped or slightly misaligned teeth, giving you a reshaped and refreshed smile. We use a variation of bonding material shades to match your teeth, ensuring that you leave with your desired look.

While bonding can achieve immediate aesthetic results in just one visit, it is not a permanent solution. Depending on your oral habits, dental bonding can last for a number of years before requiring new or a different type of treatment.

Do you dislike the look of your old metal fillings? Are you concerned with the mercury you may have in your mouth? Do you want a more natural look to your smile? If so, we can easily replace your silver ("amalgam") or metal fillings with natural looking tooth-colored resins that are much more conservative and aesthetically pleasing than traditional amalgam fillings.

Tooth-colored fillings are known as "composite" fillings. Composite is a resin material which is very strong and can actually strengthen your remaining tooth structure and prevent further breakage or damage to your tooth. Another benefit of composite fillings is reduced sensitivity, compared to amalgam fillings.

Dr. Hoang will remove any existing material or decay from your tooth. The remaining tooth structure will be cleaned of any debris, and an adhesive will be applied. We take the time to match the composite material to the natural shade of your teeth, or your desired shade (possibly whiter if you intend on whitening your teeth, etc.). The resin composite material is then bonded to your natural tooth and hardened using a special light.

Crowns are restorations that cover or "cap" existing teeth and/or implants, restoring them to their natural size, shape and color. A crown will not only help the tooth's aesthetic appearance, but can strengthen the tooth as well. Crowns fabricated in our office are made of porcelain and zirconia, the strongest materials available in today's dental market, but can also be constructed from resins, acrylic, metal or solid gold under certain circumstances. Crowns are placed in order to fix large-scale defects in teeth caused by grinding, decay, after root canal treatment, large filling restorations, etc.

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of ceramic porcelain that are bonded to the front and biting edge of your teeth. Veneers are used to hide discolorations and to fix slight imperfections of the teeth. They can fill in small gaps between the teeth, fix chips, brighten/whiten and can correct some rotation.

Bridges are a series of crowns that are connected to each other to replace missing teeth. They are made in the same manner as crowns and are constructed from the same materials. Bridges rely on anchor teeth (the teeth to each side of the missing space). They can look very natural and are a good means for missing tooth/teeth replacement.
